Unexpected things

On Tuesday the 3rd I took the kids to Cold Stone for a treat. Andrew said he wasn't feeling well so we came home and I gave him some Tylenol. Maycie had been sick with a cold for almost a week and came home from school saying that her sinuses were hurting so I made an apt. with the Dr. for the next day. I had tickets for the Draper Temple open house that day to so I didn't send the kids to school and we went to the open house. All the while Drew is feeling lousy and so is Maycie. I took may to the Dr. and she had a ear infection and sinus infection... no wonder she felt so sick! Drew continued to feel worse, running fevers and complaining of shoulder pain. Back to the Dr. on Thursday for Drew... The Dr. thought he just had a cold or some virus. By Saturday Drew was even worse. We took him to the hospital and they did an x-ray... Pneumonia on the right side. They admitted him to Primary Children's hospital for iv antibiotics, fluids and oxygen. He was very sick. After 4 days of 2 different iv antibiotics they let us come home on 2 oral antibiotics... He just hasn't seemed to be feeling much better. Today, I took him back to the Dr. and they did a repeat x-ray. He has a little more fluid than he did before!! The good thing is that he isn't running high fevers. so, for now it is a waiting game to see if he gets better or worse over the next week. We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that he gets better and alot of prayers!! Thankfully his asthma has been good and Maycie is doing much better too.
